Company History

Back in 1954, E-Z-GO was started by two brothers, Beverly and Billy Dolan, in a one-room machine shop in Augusta, Georgia. The Dolan brothers wanted to manufacture higher-quality golf carts that made traveling around the fairway more comfortable and convenient. As a result, E-Z-GO golf carts swiftly became popular across the United States with thousands of customers.

E-Z-GO soon expanded their operations to create different types of transportation options, including utility vehicles and personal transport. Every E-Z-GO vehicle is built to transport people efficiently and comfortably while providing a wide range of features.

Textron, Inc. bought E-Z-GO in 1960, becoming part of the Textron Specialized Vehicle division. Every year, they manufacture thousands of different types of golf carts and utility vehicles, all equipped with the latest technology to maximize performance. In fact, the company earned the Shingo Prize for Operational Excellence in 2009, demonstrating that their finesse has been recognized throughout the industry.

The Express™ Family
